Terms and conditions

  • 1. Registration and Fees

I agree to pay all fees and levies as advised by Arana Ascot Junior Hockey Club Inc (AAJHC), Hockey Queensland (HQ) and Hockey Australia.

(Please note: we'd prefer if you can pay your Arana Ascot Hockey Club fees by Electronic Funds Transfer, or by bank transfer if registering online - our bank details are on the payment page. We understand it might not be possible to pay the full fees at the time of registration, so you can set up a payment plan with our Treasurer if you need.)

All players, coaches, managers and other volunteers must register with Hockey Queensland and Hockey Australia. The HQ fee is for insurances. After registering for AAJHC here, you will be taken to the HQ/HA registration. Click on the 'Register' button for players new to hockey, or 'Renew' if you've registered with HQ/Hockey Australia before.

If you require any additional information regarding registering for the Club for the 2021 season, please contact the Club Secretary at aranaascot@gmail.com.

    2. Safety

It is the policy of Hockey Queensland and Brisbane Women's Hockey Association Inc. (BWHA) that every player must wear shin pads. It is an AAJHC policy that all players wear a mouth-guard - both at training and fixtures. It is also strongly recommended that all players bring a personal water bottle, hat/soft visor (no hard brims able to be worn) and sunscreen to training and games. If you borrow or loan any clothing or equipment you will return it in good order.

It should be noted that the Club will take no responsibility for injuries suffered if these policies and recommendations are not adhered to. While all due care and attention is taken by the Club as to the safety of players and officials, the Management Committee, Coaches and Managers will not be held responsible for injury or illness of players. Players are to be collected from training and fixtures at the correct time, as no provision for childcare is made after this time.

    3. Photography

By signing this declaration you consent to allowing us to display images of your child on our Website/Facebook/Instagram & for Advertising. Please advise your child's manager and coach if you do not wish for this to occur.

    4. Behaviour

Players, parents, officials and spectators agree to abide by the BWHA Hockey Association Code of Conduct. A copy of the Code of Conduct is available on the BWHA website.

    5. Parent Handbook

The AAJHC's Parent Handbook contains a wide range of information about the Club - it can be found on the Coaches, Players and Parents Information page under 'About' on this website.

    6. Declaration

By signing this declaration I agree that I have read and understood the above conditions and completed the registration on behalf of the player who is under 18 years of age.

By signing you agree to pay all fees before the first game, or your child will not be able to play.
